Chando's Lukoil Service Station Ripoff Dishonest Service Unwilling to stand behind their work Woodbury New Jersey

My car was brought to this service station for an oil change. At a later date the engine stalled while turning a corner. The owner, Carl, came out to look at the car personally and found the oil filter loose and/or detached from the engine.

On replacing the oil filter and adding oil the car still would not start. The car was towed back to the station. The engine was found to have seized.

The owner on good faith agreed to replace the engine at no charge with a rebuilt engine with a 90K mile warranty. I agreed this was fair.

The owner called me later to say he was unable to locate an engine to replace mine and he had contacted his insurance to handle the situation. He said "in the end this will work out better for both you and I."

Today I heard from his insurance company and they are denying liability. I called Carl and he said it's out of his hands. He said "it's in the insurance company's hands"

My car's engine seized due to acknowledged faulty service on this company's part and now they decide they are unwilling to accept liability.

This shoddy service and inability to take accountability for resulting damage to my car is unacceptable. I will do what it takes to recoup damages from the owner of this company.
