Bill Gaffney and Change Realty are a Joke! They advertise all over with their 1% fee. Really it is not 1% because you have to pay a selling agent fee of 2.5% on top. For his 1% Bill Gaffney and his staff will not return your phone calls, they will not market your property and they will not sell your home. We had our home listed with this joke of a company and got no activity.
I'll tell you this company sounds great on the surface but man they are terrible. I heard them on the Sports radio station and called them. Bill came out and told me about his program and made all kinds of false promises. Then he broke the news the fee really isn't 1%. I still went with him and he did nothing to sell my house. He put my house in the mls and that was it! This guy doesn't know how to sell homes. I can't believe he even has a license. I should have known cheap fee, cheap company, cheap service, cheap advertising.
The other thing is he told me i could cancel anytime if i wasn't happy. Yeah just like the rest of his false promises that didn't happen. He wouldn't let me out. So my house sat there not being advertised and nobody came thru. He held my home hostage for 6 months.
Do yourselves a favor if you are thinking of using this company. Turn around and run in the other direction. There are plenty of good realtors in the Portland area and this guy is not one of them.

An anonymous post like this is very frustrating. I have worked very hard to create Change Realty as a full-service real estate brokerage company that offers a great value in terms of savings on commissions for homeowners when they go to sell their house. Our website and our business model are very simple by design.
When we list a house, there are no up-front costs or hidden fees. We only get paid when the house sells. We receive 1% and the buyer's broker receives 2.5%. This is all clearly laid out and explained on our webiste (www.ChangeRealtyNow.com).
The entirety of this post is untrue and makes false claims. Whoever wrote this was never a client of Change Realty. Unfortunately, it is very easy for anyone to make false statements with no consequences.
We have many satisfied clients and are happy to provide references upon request. We were recently been named one of the 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in Oregon for 2013. This would not have been possible if we treated our clients like this anonymous post claims we do....
