Summary– Chapman BMW dealership dupes customer into buying a “certified pre-owned” vehicle, but doesn’t stand behind the warranty. They ignore multiple attempts from the customer to contact or resolve the issue, until a complaint with the Better Business Bureau results in a partial refund. They attempt to squelch complaints by threatening to not service the vehicle, but the story is continuing on, regardless.

- Does BMW (Harald Krüger) stand behind the service of their dealerships?
- Is “certified pre-owned” just a dealer gimmick to charge more, and not actually service vehicles when you have a problem?
- Will Chapman BWM in Chandler continue to behave this way in deceived unsuspecting customers? See their reviews on Edmunds and BBB to find out that this isn’t an isolated incident.

Let me get this straight...
Some a**hat smokes his clutch, which by the way is the only reason you would need a clutch and flywheel before 150k miles,
he doesnt want to pay for it (can you say privledged BMW owner) . To get the dealership to pay for it he threatens to make a big scene online. the dealership pays for half but he is still not happy. Two years later this same a**hat wants the other half paid for and hires some internet extortionist to make posts for him. This is a scam. The guy that wrote it and the guy driving the car are both in on.
After some quick research, it appears the author of this report has his own history on this site.

Your claim that, “Chapman BMW dealership… doesn’t stand behind the warranty” is not a valid claim because the BMW Certified Pre-Owned Protection Plan states that manual transmission components such as the clutch are not covered under the terms of the agreement. The customer agreed to the terms at the time of purchase.
The dealer’s offer to cover half of the repair cost is more than fair.
