COMPLAINT & NOTICE OF COLLECTION

From the desk of
  Pete ****
Rock Hill , SC 29732
(((phone number redacted)))

TO:       Citizens Bank Corporation
            Acct. Management/Administrators
            1 Citizens Drive
            Riverside , RI   02915

RE:       Account ****9591

Dear Sir,

This correspondence is an attempt to collect for fees incurred as a result of bank employees administratively failing to effectively, and expeditiously resolve financial matters involving a patron and customer.

The bank employees, with intent and wanton deceit, refused to acknowledge the banks error in the agreements set forth at time of patrons willful engagement into Citizens bank account services.

The patron; [Pete ****] opened a checking account and savings account to deposit sums in the form of checks, cash, and like vehicles of monetary value. At the time the patron established the primary checking account, a savings account was also established to protect the primary account from insufficient funds.

The bank account manager(s)/administrator(s) failed to responsibly overt a minor overdraft to protect patron, by transferring money from savings to the patrons primary account. This negligence inadvertently caused patron to be penalized through the banks covert actions to extort monies to wit; enrich the bank.

Further, the bank account manager(s)/administrator(s) continued to levy fees and charges to entrap patron and render patron obligated through the cunning devices and instruments implemented by the institutions staff at account conception.

The patron has expended several hours and cell phone fees to resolve this issue with the bank to no avail. The attached invoice reflects the fees due patron in accordance with the contractual agreements set forth and imparted to patron with equal latitude upon contract signing. This institution has a moral and ethical obligation to its patrons in responsible administration of individual accounts entrusted to the banking industry care.

check your account rules and regulations..

There are not enough details given here to post a rebuttal..or to agree with the OP.

It seems a "minor overdraft" caused the extortion of money due to the negligence of bank employees. This is the best I can make of this report.

Now..if the OP did have the proper overdraft protection service which should have covered the overdraft from the checking account, there should have only been a single moderate fee for the service...and this is where I disagree with Jim..not "all" banks are the same.  My bank..according to my accounts rules and regulations booklet and menu of "fees" states my overdraft transfer service is $12.00 if my balance is under $10,000...and free if my balance is at least $10,000. It also clearly states that I need to be "enrolled" in this service to qualify.

So..what I would need to know to rebut or agree with this poster..is 1) Are you positive you are enrolled in an overdraft transfer service like this?  2) If so..do you have the documentation...and 3) is the bank adhering to the agreement?

Nobody is going to pay your invoice because the money taken from your account and given to the bank - belongs to the bank.  Even if the transaction were properly done by the bank, you still would have incurred a fee for the convenience of having the bank cover your transaction out of your savings account.  Moreover, the invoice does not represent any agreement by the bank to reimburse you for the fees incurred; as far as they're concerned, it's a piece of paper belonging in the trash can.  But before it gets there, I'm sure there are quite a few employees having a good chuckle over it.

There is no such thing as setting up an account to avoid OD fees.  You've now spent more money on this than the fees you incurred Pete.  The bottom line is the bank gets the fee from you, one way or the other.  Moving your account doesn't really change things either because all banks are the same.  They operate in an almost identical way.  The only difference between banks is the signage on the front of the building.  There is a lesson here - learn something from it.
