Currently, I am a Charter One Bank customer with home equity loan on a California property with a 8% interest rate p.a. About 3 years ago the bank had issued me the heloc loan. Based on the current bank interest rates, I contacted the Charter one bank to get my loan refinance or either reduce the interest rate as per the current market.

In response the bank states that their company policies have changed and they have stopped refinancing properties in CA nor they can reduce my interest rate. Bank is currently making lot of money with my 8% interest rate when the inter bank rates are almost 0%. They are currently ripping of people in CA.
