I took out a Chase Credit Card for $300.00 through some representative company out of India, I purchased things I needed to go back to college, as a disabled student I studied to be able to work from home and went through the Dept of Rehab etc to be able to do this, I was completely honest about my income, then just before my first payment was due, I ended up in the hospital the doctors gave me less than two hours to live, an artery broke in my left calf causing blood clots to fill my lungs. The physicians are saying the fact I survived at all was a miracle, I was discharged from the hospital to go home to die, basicially I could not handle paying bills or anything and had workers come in to take care of my home and me. I was told at first I qualified for the so called Payment Preotection Plan and I needed the money to pay for added prescriptions every month, I was told my payments were posponed, then I recieved several harrassing phone calls over a month later from the same people in India who set up the card saying they sent the account to collections, while each time I tried to contact the collections company I was then told the account was sent to a different collections until finally they wanted nearly $2,000.00 and are now calling my house relentlessly and lied on my credit report.

These people take advantage of the sick and dying or disabled with this phoney program, later I was told after it was too late by Chase Bank that the Payment Protection plan was handled by an entirely different company and that they had no affiliation. What a total scam, Chase, you should be ashamed of yourself stealing from the disabled betting on them becoming ill only to know in advance your plan was to get the account to collections instead to reap the rewards of thousands of dollars more through your misdeeds, You are in my opinion for now cowards and theives who are ruining the entire economies of the world by taking advantage of anyone you can. In my opinion you are some sort of criminal empire and nothing more.

I'll keep this up to date later if Chase decides to show they are some sort of decent company, I wrote the administration but they called once and never called back. What a scam, seriously this is why they stole from everyone in the housing markets aso dictating the prices of real estate while they shorted the very stocks of their before they purposely caused the markets to crash now they are also dictating rediculously low prices through calculators on real estate websites thus trying to steal peoples equity. This company turned ruthless, I hope is trying to find some sort of salvation to those they stole from in the past.

Mobsters...IMO so far.I would l,ike them to prove me wrong.

Thanks,

PA

Chase Bank Resolved Payment Protection Program

AUTHOR: Lovefishn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 24, 2011

I wrote the corporate offices of Chase Bank a few months ago regarding the problems I had with the payment protection program. The case was investigated since by the corporate head office team who said they were investigating the case then called me back on several occassions a few weeks later. I had been working with a collections company who wanted at first over $1,200.00 for the $300.00 original balance, including fees etc. I had tried many times to take care of this in a way that was fair to me first, then I recieved a final call from the corporate offices who were very polite, kind and said they decided to purchase the account back from the latest collections company who had the account, Chase reveresed all the charges and dropped all the fees for the Payment Protection Program, then said I would recieve my account information in the mail this week or so. I was rather suprised as such a positive response by Chase, who after understanding the problems that occured on my part, seemed to do everything they could to help me with this. From what I understand I only owe the original balance of the card of $290.00 or so. I can only assume that Chase is sending me another credit card and reopened my account, while they dropped all the extra fees and charges. I have a completely differend opinion as of now regarding Chase, who seemed to be very caring and wanted to do all they could to make this right. The last thing a person needs when they are told they have less than two hours to live then find they are fighting for their life for many months at home expecting to pass away, then find they survive such delima, have just too many other problems to have to deal with such a small amount, but on the other hand I found I could not get credit again for a long time when I needed to pay so many bills. I rarely ever use credit for anything, but needed books to attend college while I was disabled, I couldn't just lay around doing nothing. I'm grareful now to Chase Bank for the time to investigate this problem and resolving it so far as they said. I hope they continue to take such great care for their customers. I am all too eager now to pay the balance and will use Chase again in the future when I find a need. Thank You Chase and the Corporate offices for your help. As far as the payment protection program, I'm not sure what has become of this but Chase finally did honor their word as far as I know so I will know more when I recieve the packet in the mail as I was told by Chase. I also want to thank this website for giving people a place to voice their opinions and ask for help.
