CHASE does NOT offer an auto pay option on their credit cards more than the MINIMUM amount!!!!! The only option is pay in FULL! They are hoping you forget and pay interest!!!! HORRIBLE way to treat your customers! In addition if you make a one time online payment less than your minimum amount (in addition to your auto pay of the minimum) it deducts that amount from your auto pay >>>>SO YOU NEVER PAY MORE THAN THE MINIMUM!!!!!!! so if your minimum is $110 and you want to pay $100 extra, they will only charee you $10 on your auto pay date. So you dont pay more than the minimum!!!!! Moe money for Chase!
WHY DONT THEY LET THE CUSTOMERS CHOOSE THE AMOUNT THE WANT, TO GET RID OF THEIR DEBT? WHY WHY WHY WHY
The only way to do that is to remember to make a monthly payment! in this day and age!!!!

This is a ripoff? The solution is pretty simple.
" WHY DONT THEY LET THE CUSTOMERS CHOOSE THE AMOUNT THE WANT, TO GET RID OF THEIR DEBT? "
They do let you choose.
" The only way to do that is to remember to make a monthly payment! in this day and age!!!! "
Oh the humanity! Who can be bothered to make a monthly credit card payment? Seriously, you don't even have to remember. When they send you the email that says your bill is ready, just go online and pay whatever amount you choose. To claim a ripoff because their system doesn't work exactly the way you want it to seems rather petty.

The big banks want to put as many people and countries into debt as possible, and they want these people and countries to pay only the minimum amount so they can make more money on the interest that they charge. The entire banking system in this country and in Europe is corrupt and diseased, in my opinion. Believe it or not, the banking cartel (Federal Reserve) is ultimately in control of the U.S. government.
You can 'Google' the following nine videos and documentaries and watch them on the web for proof-
1) RON PAUL'S BROTHER ON FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM
2) FRONTLINE: INSIDE THE MELTDOWN
3) AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM
4) FULL SHOW: HOW BIG BANKS ARE REWRITING THE RULES OF OUR ECONOMY
5) FRONTLINE: MONEY, POWER AND WALL STREET
6) WHO OWNS THE FED BANK WHO CONTROLS WHO VIDEO
7) LEGALIZED PLUNDER OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE G EDWARD GRIFFIN

Good luck to you!

The only way to do that is to remember to make a monthly payment! in this day and age!!!!
- If you can't be bothered to (gasp) remember to actually make your payment every month, then you quite frankly deserve to pay the extra interest or get subject to late fees.
Seriously it is NOT that hard to do, and if you are so busy or have so many credit cards that you can't remember everything, go out and buy yourself a cheap (many under $50) accounting software that you can use to manage all of your bills. Or go the real "cheap" way and buy yourself a Pen, Pad of Paper and a Calculator from the Dollar Store to remind yourself. Or perhaps even better...stop using the Credit Cards.
You say you want to pay a set amount. Okay, say you have a minimum payment of $20 and you want to pay $30/month. Now, let's say they let you pay the $30 and you do that for a few months. But then let's say you make a huge purchase and your new minimum payment is $45/month. Now, they can't just charge the $45 because you only authorized $30..umm what to do..what to do. Oh I guess they could just charge you the $45 and then have you come back complaing how you only authorized $30 and that extra $15 caused your bank account to overdraft..but I guess in your mind that is okay right? Perhaps you can have them notify you..of course if you never "see" the notification you can then complain how they are ripping you off by not telling you.
Personally I have 2 Chase Accounts and you know how long it takes me to schedule a payment on their system every month..about 3 minutes from the time I log in. And that includes reviewing my statement(which I bet having Autopay you never do). Guess what...I also can set up the payment for anytime in the month. So I can log on today and say I want it deducted on the 30th..guess what it gets deducted on the 30th just like I wanted.
But if you are so dead set on having an Autopay for a certain amount..then why not use your Bank's On-Line banking system to send the payment? Here it doesn't care what the balance is, it just sends what you tell it. Oh and if your bank doesn't have an on-line bill pay capability I guess in this day and age that will be your next RipOff Report.
