Chase Credit Card Chase ripoff scam Wilmington Delaware

I paid Chase $14,251.00 on 9/11/08 to pay off my account after they quadrupled my interest rate to 24%. While I may have been late 3 times in 1 year while the last late payment was due to trying to secure funds to pay them in full. They advised me the amount and they cashed the check. Since that time they have added 4 lates fees at $39 each and interest fees of $354.98. It was explained to me those fees will increase once the December 8th statement drops.
Chase does not see the whole picture. I did not file bankruptcy, i paid them $14,251.00. But they want to charge fees and interest on a Zero balance. If anyone has any advised I will take it. My plans are to dispute all 3 credit bureaus and write my congressman after the article I just read on a google search. chase has gotten out of hand.
I don't know but someone tell me, wouldn't you take $14,251.00 instead of nothing?
