Check Again Fiserv. Took $25.00 out of my bank account for a returned check fee even if it gets paid with banks 2nd submission. No warning they would do this.. Herndon, Virginia

Wrote a check to wholefoods in Wellington , Fl. Unfortunately, my bank returned the check , then a few days later it was resubmittd to my bank where it was PAID....a few weeks later a company by the name of Checkagain/Fiserv. put through an ACH check of 25.00. I did not authorize, nor know about this therefore, it caused a ripple affect in my account. I contact Blake @ Wholefoods who said this is store policy , however the only notification customers get is it writtten on the pad at the register. And the problem is that most of us who see " a $240..0 NSF fee will be appplied for all NSF checks beleive that to mean if the check does not get paid, period. Not if there is hick up and the check has to be resubmitted for payment. I beleve they are in with the check again company for the $25.00 fee, it makes a great way to produce more revenue for the company.  I have contatced the corporate office for Wholefoods but so far no response. I also contacted my bank but said it was between myself and checkagain. But checkagain says its between myself and the grocer.  i just want to alert everyone to how supportive Whoolefoods was and also to the scam Checkagain and Wholefoods is pulling on the consumer.    I laso explained to them that the $25.00 has now caused my health Insurance chekc to be returned. I got basically too bad! So wholefoods would rather lose me for $25.00 and risk a lot of my friends and family to go elsewhere...wonderful customer service...I want more people to come forward to also join with me in banning this store for this practice.
