After speaking with our dear friends they are very distraught. They were so happy to complete a revere mortgage on their home in Sun River...well the day after cllosing they get a phone call from Cherry Creek Mortgage...they were told that the loan was done incorrectly and that they needed an additional $40,000 + that had to paid immediately. Our friends didn't know what to do...so they paid it.
In speaking with others that have delt with Cherry Creek, they all have said, they will say whatever to get the business. None of them felt that they fully disclosed all the fees and they were not surprised. How are they still in business? We encouraged them to file a complaint with the department of real estate but they are hesitant to make more waves. They did make one request, DO NOT LET ANYONE ELSE IN SUN RIVER do a reverse mortgage or any other mortgage with Cherry Creek. They are a slimy marketing company that promises the world but after you have signed on the dotted line, they change the terms.
We have found more competitive and more professional mortgage companies based in Northern Utah.
