After months of working with Chetu as a client and  assigning to them a big project, we would suggest you to stay away.  Chetu is a very tricky and dishonest company.
To make my point clear,  because you might think that this review is from a competitor of them,  please read the following and decide by yourself:
1) They will never  give you a fixed price cost for the Software. The reason they do that is  because their tactic is they want to milk you in any possible way.
2)  Their contract is very very tricky. Do not sign it after you have  consulted a skillful lawyer. The sales will assure you that everything  is normal on the contract but when the problems arrive and they will  arrive soon, they are covered and you not. I can not give specific  examples due to the Confidentiality agreement.
3) Chetu sales  department is very friendly until you become a client. When serious  problem arrives you will be transferred from the Project Manager to the  Sales and goes on and on until you can not find your right.
4) Chetu  has a unique approach to do not make business analysis and technical  analysis before the project. The start with the assigning developers to  you right away and you start paying the developers to make the Project  Plan. We have ended paying all those resources being idle and we never  get a proper Business Analysis Document or a cost Analysis. Their trick  is that they assign those resources and you had only to pay for a  Business and Technical Analyst.
5) Their code is very basic, nothing  exceptional. They have charge me many more hours than a skillful  developer needs to develop those things.
6) Chetu changed the team members without prior notification.
7) Chetu has never allowed us to choose the right developers or change them.
8) They never met a guideline and they never delivered a task complete.
9)  The Project Managers are very busy with many projects that they do not  know sometimes what you are talking about. The Project Managers they  have not a full understanding of your Project and they will postpone  every important part for the end of the delivery time.
10) When the  delivery time of the project arrived they had postpone it again and  again. Milking the customers is their expertise.
11) Chetu never send  us a formal manual of the Project and never delivered at the end a  Project that was complete and functional. We do not talk about bugs, we  talk about important missing functionalities.
12) The CEO Atal Bansal never appeared on the calls we have made him again again. Instead they were threating us with Attorneys etc. He is arrogant and all his answers are predifined since milking customers is a pattern in that company.

Dear Sir / Madam,

                     We are sorry if you felt this way. I am the CEO of Chetu and unfortunately, i am not aware of who you are. It will be very nice if you could contact me / us so we can understand your experience.

There are certain incorrect statements made in your post.

 

>> You state: "They will never  give you a fixed price cost for the Software"

=> That is incorrect. Chetu _DOES_ provide fixed price estimates and the contract used in Fixed Price projects is different. However, for us to work on a fixed price estimate, the customer must have specific and detailed requirement specification (not a 5 page document, but specific to details). In addition, we have a project size minimum.

When a Customer does not have specifics, we advise the customer to use our Time and Materials contract. We are very upfront. Customer may choose to hire us or not. But we are clear and upfront about it.

 

>> You state: "Their contract is very very tricky."

=> It seems like you were aware that it is a Time and Materials contract you are signing. You chose to proceed with us.

 

>> You state: "Chetu sales  department is very friendly until you become a client. When serious  problem arrives you will be transferred from the Project Manager to the  Sales and goes on and on until you can not find your right."

=> Chetu's sales team comprises of about 25 full-time Sales members. We work together as a team. When a problem arises BOTH the sales person and project managers get on the call with Customer. The reason is because Project Managers work on the day to day basis. The project managers are in US. It is not that you are talking to someone overseas. Nor are we billing you for it.

 

>> You state: "Chetu  has a unique approach to do not make business analysis and technical  analysis before the project."

=> Doing business analysis and technical analysis is always a good approach. Especially, when customers are not clear on what they want we do and analysis and design. We work together to create a detaild project plan. In our view: Software engineers are not typists. Proper planning reduces project costs. Typing away from Day 1 is not the correct approach.

 

>> You state: "The start with the assigning developers to  you right away and you start paying the developers to make the Project  Plan."

=> In a time and materials relationship, the analysis phase is not free and the developers are not "idle". From your comment i am to guess that you did not want us to charge you for doing the analysis (even when you did not know what you want - on a T&M contract).

 

>> "Their code is very basic, nothing  exceptional."

=> I am to guess by this statement - that you were satisfied (but not blown off) by the code. While i cannot disclose our rates, but you paid one-third the local cost.

 

>> Further through your post you have posted a LOT of incorrect statements. Unfortunately, the space here does not allow me to go on. Statements like: "Chetu never send  us a formal manual of the Project" -- makes me conclude that either you are new to Software Development or had different expectations.

=> The ONLY time we would need to threaten with Attorneys is when people do not pay their bills. We have no reason to "threaten". It seems like you are sitting on our bills and it is unfortunate you took the offensive approach. A review will be more appropriate and credible if you paid your bills and gave genuine feedback.

=> I am the CEO. And I am sorry if you feel I am arrogant (nice to meet you by the way). It seems like you and I never talked. If you knew me personally, you'd know that I do return all calls and emails. Very (very) rare for me not to respond. Again, I am very sorry that you feel I am arrogant.

Chetu is my passion and what I do. If you read our Credo, customer service is the first thing. Our Credo was written 15 years ago. It is umodified and still followed.

Chetu has grown 100% organically from 1 to close to 1100 employees doing more than $30M in revenue. The ONLY reason we have grown is because of our dedication to our Customers and quality work. We did not grow due to cash infusion from investors of debts. We worked hard and provide great services. Our client relationships are long term.

I am sorry that you do not recognize such success or growth. It is clear however that your intention is to damage the reputation of a growing and successful company.

You are anonymous and so i cannot make a presumption on who you are...what weightage your post should have...whether you are a reasonable human being or simply venting out to wiggle out of payment.

I personally value human contact and respect discussions and disagreements even if they are so. No big deal. But at least we could talk as humans,
