On June 2, 2014 I had purchased gas at the Chervon location in Temple City on the corner of Rosemead and Las Tunas for an amount of $25.01. On June 3, 2014 I was then charged and outragous $126.00 when I wasn't even at that location or city. I will be seeking action against this company/location for its unlawful fraudelent actions that has now caused intentional hardship in their action and failure to advise of unauthorized charges.

Sometimes calmer heads need to prevail..

Before you go off "Half Cocked"..you need to take a step back.

First of all..yes just based on what you posted it does "appear" that you have an invalid charge of $126.  But since we don't know anything else about this situation...

Did you pay at the pump?  If Yes, then there is a good posibility that there was a hold placed on your card for $126.  This hold is put on by the Gas Station since they have no idea how much you are going to pump.  This amount varies and I have seen ones anywhere from about $50 to $150 being reported.

Now what is SUPPOSED to happen is that after you finish pumping the real charge gets credited and the hold gets released.  But this doesn't always happen.  Sometimes it is a bank issue, sometimes a station issue.  So it is possible that the $126 is the hold and will be released in 1-7 days.    You will also notice that the description is slightly different, which is another indication of this is what it could be.

Now, before you again go off...this is how EVERY gas station does "Pay at the Pump" and it could happen at any station.  If you want to avoid this, you must go inside and request a specific amount to be charged.

Now, since this is only one possibility, have you called your bank?

If not WHY NOT?  If so what did they say?

You are a true tool. I truly enjoy your verbiage utilized to depict who is accountable for extreme unannounced harmful behaviors. I'll just suspect you are the unrewarded employee of the month. YOU provide a service to the consumers thats put food in your mouth. YOU provided a card swiper that pays for the roof over your head. YOU charged me 5x my total AFTER service was rendered. YOU failed miserbly to advice users of YOUR excessive consumer abuse. I hope the world drives a mile further from all these locations so you can have plenty of time to realign service level obligations (not to mention your tactless stance). I hope the right person sees your response and takes action on your tyrant behaviors, common knowledge principle, and reasonableness.

Your fault...

What your nice little tale tells me is that YOU swiped your card AT THE PUMP!! Which means in order for YOU to fill up a certain amount of money is put on hold. Normal amount is between 100-125 USD. Im sure that if you call your bank you will find this to be FACT. YOU have not been ripped off. How awful nice to see the general stupidity of the American Consumer. Lets break down YOUR gasoline purchase shall we.

1. SWIPE CARD BEFORE PUMPING GAS

2. HOLD PLACED ON FUNDS AGAINST WHAT YOU MAY PUMP.

3 FINISH PUMPING AND DRIVE OFF.

Sound about right?? YOUR need for a "quick" fillup is what has caused this. The gas pump is not smart enough to KNOW how much gas YOU will pump. So they autherize $125 so you can fill up. Then roughly 72hours later the CORRECT AMOUNT is applied to your account and the extra left over from the hold is returned to you.

So instead of doing YOUR part and calling your bank and verifying this information. You AUTOMATICALLY jump on the web and make a FAKE report. I call it fake, because there is NO FRAUD here. Just the USUAL consumer self importance. Kinda funny how quickly YOUR ignorance can cause someone to get a negative online reputation all because YOU DID NOT KNOW HOW IT ALL WORKS!! So they get to suffer because YOU are ignorant. Isnt the web grand........ Maybe next time BEFORE you hop online and start blasting like a dumb nutjob, you will do YOUR part FIRST. Your bank would have explained all of this to you had you even taken 5 mins of your oh so precious time and contacted them.

You should be ashamed of yourself. In this digital era, businesses shouldnt be made to suffer because YOU are ignorant. Thankfully, there IS a rememdy. And that REBUTTALS!!! So anytime anyone puts in the search box "Cheveron" your post is going to pop up. And IF someone didnt explain the WHY you are having this issue, someone MIGHT believe YOUR craptastic story. This is WHY rebuttals are helpful. In the future MAYBE do some research. YOUR ignorance is what has caused YOUR issue. This is WHY people are advised to NOT just swipe and go.

I really hope you DO try and go after them in court. I REALLY want to see your post then. You know when the judge dismisses YOUR case as friviolus and you are then stuck with ALL of the court costs and legal fees. Because you KNOW Chevron is going to send in a nicely priced lawyer. PLEASE!!! DO IT!!!!! Then maybe you will learn a valuable lesson. Then since you have posted THIS online, AND you will have attempted a fraudulent case, they can go after you in a civil proceeding because YOU made this post. Once again...isnt the web grand.....

Lastly....much like IGNORANCE of the law is NO EXCUSE, IGNORANCE of reality isnt one as well. It always amazes me exactly how much common sense the average consumer DOESNT have. Just because you swiped you card filled up and drove off doesnt mean that the transaction was completed. Since you did this on the second, the third would be the next available day for them to post the previous days holds. SO no fraud there. YOU should REALLY be apologizing to both Chevron AND the web. Because YOU are ignorant, YOU have caused "bad press" for them. How would YOU feel if someone did this to YOU because THEY were ignorant?? YOU wouldnt like it very much at all. YOU would DEMAND an apology and you would DEMAND that Chevron make "it right" for you. How exactly are YOU going to make it right for them??? Oh thats right.....you cant, and you WONT!!! YOU would rather have your skin peeled off in nanometer incriments then admit that YOU were wrong. Atleast at some point they can sue you for this, so atleast there is SOME justice in the universe.
