I bought close to $300 dollars worth of merch. from Michelle Wendell. Items were listed as incorrect sizes and she told me her "lister must have written in the wrong sizes." I bought 3 dresses and a top. When the dresses arrived one was obviously not the dress I ordered and another was the wrong size. The dress shipped to me looked similar to but was not the same cut or color of the dress I ordered. I complained and she told me that her "shipper must have sent the wrong dress," she then told me that they had my dress in stock and that it would be shipped to me upon the return of the other dress. I shipped the dress back and as soon as it arrived she told me that they no longer had the dress I ordered and that she would refund me the money for the dress and the shipping cost. I received the shipping cost but not the refund for the dress. I emailed her and she said she had already refunded me. I waited over a week and the refund did not appear on my bank statements. It was not until after I threatened to go to Ebay about it that the charges immediately and miraculously showed up in my account. Michelle knows very well what she is doing. She tries to slander anyone who has negative feedback about her poor service. My exchanges with her were so unpleasant that I stopped using Ebay entirely. I was scared that she would ruin my reputation as a buyer if I wrote my bad experience on her page because I was a relatively new user. If you dare write about her poor business ethics she responds as if the buyer is at fault for it. She is manipulative and gives handouts for positive reviews its unfair that her customers do not get to see the truth.

Again, we have a 99% POSITIVE wonderful feedback rating, over 11 years, over 11,000 happy customers. we have a FULL OPEN DOOR RETURN POLICY, no questions asked and you do not have to "raise hell", that is totally untrue. even you said to the left that as soon as you let us know something was wrong, we offered to fix it!!!
michelle has not run the ebay store in years now. we have a full-service email customer service dept. plz leave personal attacks out of it, ESPECIALLY WHEN, AGAIN, MICHELLE HAS NOT RUN THE EBAY STORE IN YEARS!!!
ANY time anyone writes us here at customer service, and their web-purchased item does not fit or they do not like it or it is wrong, we say return it for a full refund, no questions asked. if an email did go to spam or the communication was off, we are truly sorry. if for some reason you wrote our paypal id (instead of wrote us via ebay or wrote us at our customer service email), then that could be a culprit since that is not a working email, it's just our paypal payment id (if what you say is true).
stop this attack mode. no one is "out to get" anyone!!!! we are running a VERY ethical business with a VERY VERY positive overall rating and tons and tons of happy clients that have shopped with us for 10+ years.
i am sorry if communication was lost or somehow our transaction did go wrong (you did not post your ebay name so i have no way of referencing it)!!! i truly am. we sell over 400 items per week, and we try and NEVER let an issue fall through the cracks. we check our customer service email a MINIMUM of 8 times a day!!!
if you want to post your ebay name i will look this up and post the specifics in reference to the full refund being given to you.

I live in the UK had a similar experience with Michelle Wendell. Long story, but she never sent my item, strung me along for weeks, then stopped replying to my emails. When I left her negative feedback she promptly left me untrue negative feedback in return (as the person above says, she slanders honest buyers), then tried to convince me to removed my neg feedback in exchange for a full refund. I didn't believe her - I'd contacted other eBayers who'd agreed to remove feedback and, after they did so, never heard from Ms Wendell or got their money back. When I refused to remove the feedback, Ms Wendell's emails became nasty. In the end eBay eventually agreed to refund my money but the whole thing took over a year and was a really horrible experience.
I'd just like to say that Michelle Wendell (and her staff) keep going on about her wonderful 99% positive feedback (it's actually always closer to 98% when I've viewed it). However, the number of neutrals also needs to be taken into account, as a lot of neutrals are left for the same reasons as the negatives (why do they leave neutral?). Also, the significant number of negative feedbacks that are 'revised' or retracted (the number can be viewed just on the top right of the feedback table), by people who are bribed by Wendell into removing their neg feedback on the promised of a refund, should also be taken into account. So in reality her bad feedback accounts for more like 4% of her sales, which amounts to fraud running into 1000s of dollars.
I also agree with the complainant above that whether Ms Wendell runs the eBay store or not is no excuse. I don't believe she has nothing to do with the eBay store anyway because, from the beginning of my correspondance to the end, I received emails signed from Michelle herself. She constantly blames her deliberate defrauding of customers on other members of her staff - among the various excuses I've heard are 'my shipper's been away', 'my shipper sent the wrong item' and 'my lister must have listed the wrong item/size' etc etc. She makes excuse after excuse and tells lie after lie and is never able to prove any of her claims.
There are already 11 reports about Michelle Wendell on this site and I would urge anyone who has been defrauded by Ms Wendell to file a report at http://www01.smgov.net/communication/cityforms/consumer-complaint.htm, and also email your account to Paula Rockenstein (Paula.Rockenstein@SMGOV.NET), who is apparently investigating Ms Wendell.

I am truly sorry, there was nothing at all aggressive about our rebuttal, nor do we want to treat anyone in an aggresive way. I was just pointing out that we have a large staff. I manage the online customer service dept.
We stand by our proven 99% positive rating over 12 years on ebay!! Those numbers don't lie, and i personally have worked here most of those years. We are not perfect (I don't know many people or companies who are), and we do sell off-price items at great deals. But that's why we have the 100% open door return policy so that just in case something goes wrong, you don't have to worry! :) These are just facts of life...if you buy something anywhere and it doesn't work, just return it. Some places DON'T even take returns (ESPECIALLY most on ebay) ...but we are ALWAYS happy to, and that is by choice, not by mandate. :)

I don't care whose business it is, as long as Michelle Wendell's name is associated with it, it is her problem. If her employees are incompetent as listing, shipping, or returning someone's money than maybe she needs to restaff.
And, of course it looks like you have 9 in 10 satisfied customers. You bribe people for good reviews and threaten people who write bad ones! Every time a customer complains there is a backlash and the customer is slandered.
All the posts say "that's not fair" or "you're a liar." It is definitely fair for people to give you poor ratings, even if you do take the clothes back, because the service wasn't provided adequately. That is business. Remember the idea that the customer is always right? Well maybe when you ship me the wrong item and I give you a negative review you should be gracious and try to correct the issue instead of bullying.
It's totally fair to write you up when my money isn't returned after your company makes a mistake! If the clothes are dirty, the wrong size, not in stock, then you need to be held accountable as a business without attacking your consumer.
You seem to think that a return and refund policy is a get-out-jail-free card. I don't care if it's Michelle Wendell or twenty interns running the place, this is a bad business, run by a bunch of kooks and crooks. If you weren't doing something wrong than why be so aggressive?

chic little devil has a staff of 26 people, and the online store is NOT even run by michelle...it has not been run by michelle in over 2 years. we have been on ebay over 11 years and have 99% great feedback as you can see at our ebay site www.chiclittledevil.com. yes, 99 out of 100....990 out of 1000 are happy with us. we have 100's of clients who come back and shop almost every week or every month. we get over 6,000 great feedback a year!!
we also have a FULL open door return policy. if you don't like anything for any reason you just RETURN it. simple, just do a return and get your money back, no questions asked and we pay shipping for the return too!
