Chicago Water & Fire Restoration located in Elmhurst, IL Chicago Water & Fire Restoration is not transparent and is deceptive Elmhurst Illinois

I am very disturbed to find that I was duped into thinking I was working with a reputable company. My water loss was an unfortunate situation to deal with, but Chicago Water & Fire turned it into a nightmare. The only pleasenetness of it was the polite staff that took my call and the day I severed ties with their services. 

When you experience water in your home you don't know what to do. I had never went through this before so I didn't know what to expect, but I expected to deal with a professional company that would have my best interest at heart. I was sadden to see that they only made my situation worse. 

I was referred to this company and they promised to take care of me. My adjsuter had never heard of them before or worked with them. The bill that they submitted for my clean up was well more than it should have been my adjuster said. He shared that they were basically over billing for their servcies and he was catching on. I don't see how you can over bill for work that was not done properly.

The water was not cleaned up right the first time and I had to call them back after they claimed the job was complete. The tech.'s sent out seemed extremely young to be considered professionals. This is most likely why my water damage was not cleaned up right the first time around. 

The communication was poor thoughout their service that I finally just gave up on them and called in yet another company to pick up where they left off.l They talked a good game and made me believe they were professionals but I now know in times like these I need to do a little more reserach before taking someone at their word. 

I wasn't suprised to find other complaints about this company online. However, I was suprised to find so many positvie reviews. I have heard of companies paying people to leave reviews or even writing fake one themeselves to make them look more reputable. After the servcie Chicago Water & Fire provided, I would not be suprised if this was the case. One thing I noticed is that they are a single operation in Elmhurst, yet they claim to have all these additional Chicago Fire & Water Companies located throughout Chicago. I would consider that false advertising on their part and it definately makes them less creditable in my eyes after discovering this. Very unethical to make yourself appear bigger than you really are.

From this experience I have learned to do more research when dealing with issues on a large scale such as this and to never work with this company or refer them to anyone. The loss took longer than expected and at the end of the day they were not appologetic for their actions. Their service and billing was not transparent and I had to bring in a real professional to correct their mistakes.
