choice home warranty was called to our home to repair a refrigerator that had stopped cooling and taht was a week after we called them, a man came out and he told us it appeared to have a freon leak and another repairmen would come out to verifyh this, the second person came in about 10 days, he said same thing to us and said it would not be worth repairing. choice home warranty called us and said we would hear back when desicion was made.

when last repairman came, so far three had came, he saw that refrige was moved to garage. he called in and told the company the finding. so since now in garage, they refused to pay anything, said the freeone pressure could not be checked because door off, i am not stupid, it had been checked twice in kitchen with no freon pressure found.

they waited long enough till they knew we would have to move fridge out to get another in the kitche, and that was there out to keep from paying us. they are the sorriest people i have ever dealth with. i got a lawyer and they told her same thing, we moved fridge to garage. we had no choice but put in a very nice attached garage to house. they threw checking it, three repairmen had all said same thing. no freon in the unit. we are retired and on social security and buying that warranty made us feel more secure if something big went out. help me pleae.

(stalling to see if they could get out of paying us.) Meanwhile we had to buy another refrigerator. For some reason they wanted to come out again ??

This man came out and by then we had to move to our attached garage. So the repairman calles in to his office and tells them refrigerator was in garage. but he also SAID IT HAD BEEN IN HOUSE EVERYTIME HE HAD BEEN THERE. THEN I GET CALL FROM CHOICE HOME WARRANTY THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE CLAIM BECAUSE REFROFERATOR WAS IN GARAGE, WITH DOOR OFF OF FRONT. MY HUSBAND HAD TO REMOVE DOOR TO GET OUT OF HOUSE AND WE DID NOT HAVE ROOM FOR 2 REFRIGERATORS!. My husband is a green beret who served in Vietanm for 7 years. We have worked, paid out taxes and are honest people. I tried getting a lawyer and all they did was lie to lawyer. They need to be closed down. I quit the company (choice warranty and went to Sears home warranty and next I know Choice warranty joined scars warranty. Anyone who reads this, Never use choice or sears home warranty.
