Upon returning from a lovely Thanksgiving visit with my daughter and her husband, I found My letter from the Payment Verification Center waiting for me! The letter stated that "we have made many unsuccessful attempts to contact you regarding this matter." Well, I have worked all my life, never won a thing, and don't expect to...so I didn't let myself get excited about what all I could do if, indeed, it were true and really not another scam.... The letter said I had won $248,000.00US from a total prize money of $1,488,000.00 that was shared and presented among 6 declared winners. - Sent an authentic-looking check in the amount of $4,985.00 (which would be deducted from my "winnings"...said the tax amount is USD $3,975 which was to be paid via Moneygram Wiring Facility located at Walmart. I was told not to attempt to cash the check until I call and speak with the claims agent, Mrs. Michelle Allen at 1-647-833-1810 for further clarification and instructions on claiming my winnings. They even went as far as to try the "time-sensitive" pressure treatment..."NOTE: If we do not hear from you within a specific period of time (which they didn't specify) we shall assume the enclosed check amount as lost and winning unclaimed. The check will be cancelled and declared null and void." Well, we all know what happens when one a*s -U -ME s anything....

I read other reports stating basically the same scam, with a few little differentiations here and there...I agree that these scam artists should be jailed...someone had to handle the typed label on the envelope, and perhaps even licked the stamp, (I'll be happy to mail mine to any authority who wants to extract evidence from it), so Go get Em, Boys! Hard-working Americans are tired of being toyed with!

Sincerely,
Not a Penny Poorer Today than Yesterday!
