Chris Pellington, Christopher Pellington Borrowed money with no apparant intent to repay Powell Ohio

Chris was a mentor while I was learning real estate investing. He was recommended by EMI (Enlightened Millionaire Institute), which is now EWI (Enlightened Wealth Institute), and Tactical Real Estate, all real estate investing education companies.

He later approached me with an "opportunity" that he said he only wanted to extend to his students. He said he had an opportunity to make a lot of money in an oil and gas investment but needed cash quickly. He offered a return of 50% in 6 months. He was to have repaid the initial loan plus interest by late January 2006.

It is now late December 2006 and all I have gotten from Chris are excuses and stories of how he's got money coming in within another week or two.

I hired an attorney in the summer but the wheels of the legal process are exceedingly slow. I want to make sure he doesn't rip anyone else off.
