Chris Ripley listed a horse as dead broke all around great family gelding. We told him we needed a well broke horse for a non-rider's adult's first horse. He said the horse was safe.
The horse was rode before purchasing and he did very well and walked slow like we wanted.
Said the horse has been in any situation on the trials, a real been there done that type of horse. No bucking, rare, ect...
We took the horse on one trail ride and is moved quickly and spooked.
I am concerned that the horse was possibly medicated to help him perform better for the trail ride.
The horse was not safe for a beginner. Much in the sale ad can not be true. The horse spooks easily and is quick to buck. This is not the horse that was listed in the ad.
Chris Ripley did not respond to our attempt to contact him when problems started.
Do not buy a horse from him....
