 I contacted City Garage because my transmission was not shifting properly when the car was started first thing in the morning. I took car to City Garage to inspect. I was told my transmission needed to be rebuilt and would cost $1,300. I called two other shop and was told higher prices. That was my first mistake. Second mistake I was told I would have to pay in advance. I agreed to a deposit of half. Then the story get worse I took the car in on a Monday. No work was preformed until Thursday sat for four days before any thing was done. Every time I called Angie the front end flunky gave me short and snappy answers. She told I needed new valve cover gasket and my heater core . I told Angie do the heater core but not the valve cover gasket she told me it has already been done and now my bill will be $1900.00. After that was done my car was ready my front passenger side was soaking wet so I took car back. Angie told me it would take about a month to dry I insisted they look at the heater core and it turned out new(from junk yard) heater core was leaking. I don't if they put a new heater core or used all I knew it wasn't leaking. The transmission was shifting worse then when I brought it in. I took the car to two other shops and both told me the transmission was not rebuilt. Again I took the car back to Chris Schuler. He started calling me names, things I should have been saying to him. One of the shops I took it to was Zembowers a well respected shop. He showed things that were unbelievable. Wires hanging, bolts missing and rack and pinion was not bolted in place. He charged me a $1000 dollars to repair damage. He also called Bob Keeling with channel 6 news who came and took pictures of the car. I got all kinds of documents should how deceitful City Garage is. I was going to take him to small claims court but then he disappeared. I would still like to sue but don't know how to find him since he disappeared.
