Christian Brother Automotive incompetent dishonest auto repair ripoff Arlington Texas

My surburban failed it's annual inspection. We took it to christian Brothers for a diagnostic. They suggested a lot of work some of which was obviously unnecassary. We authorized the work that really needed to be done knowing the remainder was not required to pass inspection.

CBAC worked on the truck for a day and returned it barely able to run. We took it back and asked to have it corrected. They worked on it another day. It came back even worse again. My wife became rather vocal that they would continue to make it worse rather than better. They told her not to come back. So much for the 12 month warranty. We went the better business bureau route. Found out that was no help. So we took it to another mechanic.

Eventually we found out that one fuel injector was bad. They said their Tech had replaced one injector with a unit he had repaired "but don't worry, he is real good at fixing things like that." They also bent the transmission pan cover so that it was being hit by the fly wheel (second repair visit).

Part of the original repair visit cost was about $200 for changing the spark plugs. They did refund some of that money after we complained.

The front counter guy was rude and insulting at every turn.

We have written this one off to lessons learned, but want others to be warned. After several letters back and forth to the better business bureau, they still have a clean report.
