Someone posted a  liebelous personal "complaint" on the website scambook.com lsiting my name.

Shortly after, I recieved an email from a person named Christina Mannino, who claimed she wasn't responsible for the article but could have it removed if/once paid the same amount in the complaint. Skeptical of such a transaction, (especially after looking up the site) I was reluctant to pay the website to have the complaint removed. Rather, I asked that the person remove the article and that we settle any dispute in a private more civil manner, it was over $270.

The site (scambook.com) asked for $500 to help resolve the complaint.

The person who wrote it (Christina Mannino) contradicts thier stories, even calls themself dumb in the article, regaurdless I wanted it removed as it showed up in my search results.

Over the years Christina Mannino, ignored attempts to resolve the complaint (the supposed purpose of using the site). Christina Mannino did however return to write personal remarks, hiding under the Alias of Anonymous 17, calling herself "Young and Dumb" in the article... Unusual behavior, and an unusual course of action to resolve a $270 buisness dispute.

After 3 years of attempting to reach a resolution, Christina Mannino sent a paypal request for the same amount in the article she intially claimed to have never written, under the agreement that she will remove the article.

Unsure if she's involved with people behind (Scambook.com) or acted on her own, from this experience it's best to be cautious if dealing with Christina Mannino and Dieve Clothing brand or Scambook.com They seem to lie in public to ask for money in private and follow up on nothing.

AUTHOR: Christina Mannino - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 04, 2015

If anyone is interested in hearing the true account, please read the link below. I would be happy to provide all emails proving that Jonathan Appata (or John Paul as he called himself) owed me $272 for a service and editorial printed feature he never produced. Finally, on 11/26/2014, over 3 years later, Jonathan Appata finally refunded me $272.50. I can also provide these emails if anyone would like them as proof. I think Mr. Appata is now teaching tennis and has left the fashion industry so it seems that most people will be safe from his scams.

SEE BELOW:

As reported 9/30/2011 on www.scambook.com

As early as April I was promised a feature in fashion magazine "TRUXURY" (if it even exists), but, as they are "newer" asked for $250 (plus taxes) to help cover the photoshoot/production of the magazine. I paid and was set to be shot for the summer issue. Well, the shoot kept getting postponed and when it was finally shot I was told my pieces would now be in the Fall issue. I paid for a 5-7 look editorial spread. Well, apparently the fall issue is out and NONE of my looks are in it (though I still haven't seen the magazine) -- according to the editor -- bc my looks didn't fit with the model. However, I was given model approval and they did not follow my guidelines or use the model promised.

I finally agreed to a partial refund of $150 with a press kit which would include the photographs. I was supposed to received that on 10/7 -- I still haven't received anything.

I honestly am beginning to wonder if this company even exists. The "editor" I worked with calls himself Jonathan Paul but the paypal went to a Jonathan Appata... and the head editor calls herself "Lauren Lavin" -- and they all use the same email -- truxury@live.com ...

Very shady company.

Thank you for bringing light to yourself once again, Jonathan.
