Booked a short-term rental from Christopher Booth. As it turned out I had to cancel the booking a couple of weeks out and, at first, he refused to refund any monies. I reminded him that under the terms of the booking via booking.com, the booking could be cancelled and refunded right up to the last day before arrival. He eventually - begrudgingly - returned all but 1 night's deposit.

Luckily there were some protections afforded by booking through a third party but, if it hadn't have been for this, I doubt he'd have even given a cent back. Never did get the 'deposit-that-I-didn't-agree-to-back', though.

Not as smart as he thinks he is but happy to rip you off if he thinks he can getaway with it. Probably a Trump voter.
