I was looking for work on craigs list in tampa, fl. and i responded to an ad that chris had posted under the jobs tab. i sent an email wanting to work with him and he wrote me back asking me what my hourly rate was.
from there we agreed on an hourly wage(so i had thought) and i started working on the web design project he wanted me to do for him. So at this point i was getting kind of scetchy with this whole deal once i started getting all the info about the company and found out i was building a website for a website company.
Since times are just so tough out here right now with work, i just made the exscuse that he probably just didnt have time to do his own site. So he approves the layout design and off i go...getting this work done as fast as i could so i could get paid.
The site was nearly completed, we were just tweaking the final details and then he goes belly up on me. saying how it looked cheap and completly wasnt what he was looking for. but i didnt mind, he said that i was the only one working on this project that i could go ahead and redo the site. I didnt mind since i was getting paid hourly...so i thoguht.
so i work on building a second site and we get to the point of completion and i was ready to turn over the site to him for payment and i send him my hours. at this point he says im way over charging him for the work done and when i remind him that i had to build two sites for him and that we were working hourly, he quickly says "You've over-quoted me in hours. Some of my buddies own design companies that handle commercial media for large corps, I ran it by one of them as well just to see if I was crazy, and they stated the same as I did, some of the areas are on-target in your pricing outline, but some are outrageous. I am sorry."
so im out over 700.00 and still looking for work. he wasted my time and efforts and if anyone knows how we can go after this FRAUD...please post and let us all know.

I also have had to deal with Chris, and did not search his name before hiring him.
He took on a simple html project for which I paid him up front (BIG mistake). The project took much longer than promised, then the deliverables were incomplete (he didn't even log into my server to install the code). He emailed me a file and claimed he was done.
Not to have to bother with him, I installed the code but it doesn't work.
He won't issue a refund and doesn't respond to emails with any sensible solution or addressing of my very clearly outlined concerns with him.
*** if there is another group forming to deal with this guy I'd like to know. I don't know how we can get in touch on this system, but let's figure out how. ***

Ryan & Annonymus person. I too, am a victim of Cleggs wrong doings. I have joined a support network (apart from ripoffreport.com) of others who have been ripped off by Clegg. I wish I could leave contact info or get yours so we could talk in private. I am preparing to take action against Clegg as well. I am also reporting him to several different entities. He is a criminal and needs to be shut down. I cannot provide a lot of detail on my situation, but I can say there are several people working as a whole right now. If there is anyway I can contact either of you, please let me know.
