CHRPAY.COM/MEYROCORP recieved a popup saying I had a virus and needed to download antivirus2009. never recieved anything and it was charged to my credit card in the amount of 49.95. This is a ripoff Internet

A popup told me that my computer had a virius and that I needed to download 2009 antivirus. I did so and never recieved it. I was charged $49.95 on my credit card for the antivirus I did not recieve. This is a ripoff.

Reba, my brother in-law is quite illiterate when it comes to computers/internet..He received the same message as you did..Once that popup, poppedup, it already installed itself into your computer..It is a scam to not only take your money, but get information off of your credit/debit card..I told my brother-in-law he had a "trojan" and would have to take it in to get fixed..He did so..Costed like $125's but Office Depot/technicians reformatted his laptop..Technicians told my brother-in-law that I was absolutely correct when I told him it was a scam/trojan that just installed itself..
