Chubb Group Of Insurance Companies NOT INTERESTED IN A FAIR SETTLEMENT Chicago Illinois

I got into a fender bender in a private parking lot. The person was driving a BMW SUV and my car was a Honda Accord. I had reversed out of my parking slot & was already straightening my car when the peson behind me pulled out & rammed into my rear bumber. He obviously realized that he had hit me, so he moved his car away from the point of contact & began arguing about whose fault it was.

His insurer was Chubb. There were no witnesses & based on the way our cars were damaged, that may have been enough information to determine who was at fault. I knew that I would have an issue with Chubb on resolving this issue, so I contacted the store whose parking lot this happened in & confirmed that they had video surveillence in the lot.

I offere this information to the Chubb "Adjustor" (ouch, that was painful!), and she assured me that pulling the tapes "would not be necessary". They dragged the investigation on for months & finally ony offered to pay half of my $700 bill because they "could not determine whose fault the accident was". I was livid about this decision, because Chubb knew from the begining that they did not have enough information to determine whose fault this was, but declined to take the tapes that would assist them in making the decision.

Also, I had to constantly pester them to follow up on the case - they behaved like the arrogant SOB that they had insured!!!!

I have requested the tapes to be pulled now & hope that the information is still available. I will definitely be taking them to court on the way this case was handled.
