I did some research for you folks when I found out others had the same problem.

I found that there are at least 2 websites that charge under the name CIC Credit Manager: ConsumerInfo.com and CreditExpert.com. Both of them offer a trial membership with a free credit report. Once the trial expires, the website begins to charge $9.95 for your membership. Both sites currently list this information on the sign-up page.

ConsumerInfo.com: "IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When you order you free report here[ConsumerInfo.com], you will begin your free trial membership in CreditCheck Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within the 30 day trial period, you will be billed $9.95 for each month that you continue your membership. Under a new Federal law, you have the right to receive a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies. To request your free annual report under that law, you must go to www.annualcreditreport.com. ConsumerInfo.com is not affiliated with the annual free credit report program."

CreditExpert.com: "Get your FREE Experian Credit Report and PLUS Score
when you register for a FREE 30-day trial membership!"


To cancel your membership with ConsumerInfo, call 1(866)506-7895.
To cancel your membership with CreditExpert, call 1(866)673-0140.
They will ask for your social security number, name, and mother's maiden name.

Hope this helps, and they don't keep charging after cancellation!
