CEC*CIC Credit Manager unauthorized monthly charges freecreditreport.com Ripoff owned by the Experian creidt agency, charged my Visa account Florida Los Angeles California

It seems as if I am just the other people. My husband and I (Dec 2006), visited freecreditreport.com.
I signed myself up for a 'free credit report'. Apparently the company CIC Credit, owned by the Experian creidt agency, charged my Visa account $9.95 for a monthly service I never requested. On my Visa bill the charge is as follows; 'CIC*CE Credit Manager'. Not knowing what that was, I contacted my Visa company.

Speaking with a fraud representative, I was told that they would not cancel any charges in my billing cycle, I have to do it myself. I explained this charge was related to a 'free credit report' that I authorized in Dec. 2006

I called CIC and spoke to a John and he said due to the fact that I did not cancel my free credit report after the one month trial period, I was being charged the monthly monitoring service fee. I did not request this service. To date they are now charging me $12.00 a month.

Today, I called to cancel and when contacting 'free credit report' at 1-877-481-6826, they requested my credit card number for authorization purposes.
They offered me & my husband 2 free credit reports and they would email me my info in 10 mins. I told them, 'Obviously you have my credit card number, so why should I give it again?' Then they asked for my social security number. I refused. I told them to pull up my account and I would verify the information. I did. This person called himself John, (wouldn't give me his direct ext #) said although I did request the service and failed to cancel it within 30 days.

I would expect more customer assistance from my Citi Card Visa and at least one of the three main credit report bureaus.
