I obtained a free credit report on line from CIC and also paid a $5.00 fee for a beacon score to be added to the report.
I declined the membership and even made sure that there wasn't any membership fees charged to my credit card by going to the cancel page and cancelling membership. I received a confirmation via e-mail that there would not be any charges made to my credit card. This was on August 24, 2003.
Then on October 1, 2003 I was charged $79.95 on my credit card from CIC. I too have contacted them and demanded they replace the funds within 24 hours, not 7-10 business days! I was assured the funds would be re-deposited within 24 hours.
I am waiting to see, and if not I will not let up on them until the funds are re-deposited.
