CIC Credit Monitoring Service is famous for signing up people for credit monitoring service. They claimed my wife signed up in 2001 at a previous address. If she did, they waited two years to charge our account.

She has never received an email or other communication from them. Their pitch when you call them is that they protect you from identity theft, yet somehow, they have gotten our CC number and started using our identity.

They are reportedly a subsidiary of Experion, the credit rating agency. Maybe there is a class action here.
