CIC Credit Monitoring ripoff fraudulent billing Las Vegas Nevada

Like the other entries listed on this site, this company began to charge my credit card without my consent for services that I never authorized. It took a while to realize what was going on - I didn't recognize the charge (3 charges of $12.95 per month) at first, checked into it when I received a second month's statement, at which time they had already chargerd a third month. I wrote to them & my credit card company immeidately. Credit card company (Chase) was great & credited all charges. Started when I tried to take advantage of new law allowing 1 free credit report per year. Info on how to do so was very confusing; somehow was linked to this company, got my "free" report & they started billing 3 months later. Implications for everyone accessing their "free" annual report should be more clear & this company should be blocked from any participation or link. Now they're advertising heavily on local radio & they'll suck in even more unsuspecting parties. Their fraudulent practices & misrepresentation of services should be immediately stopped.
