I wanted to quit smoking. I searched the internet for programs that could help. I had already cut down considerably on my own and was only searching for special vitamins that could help. I contacted Cigarest. They advertised a package of vitamins, gum and some kind of little tablets that were supposed to help with cravings for nicotine. Of course to pay this less than $7.00 fee I was to submit banking information. BIG MISTAKE.

I was sent another email asking me to re-submit my information. I did. BIG MISTAKE. I received a package containing the above mentioned products. I DID NOT CONSUME ANY OF THE SHIPPED PRODUCTS. A few weeks later while checking my bank statment I noticed 2 $99.00 plus withdrawals from Cigarest from my checking account. I was also being billed for a shipment of products (that I HAVE NEVER EVEN RECEIVED) that was supposedly sent to me as a result of re-submitting my information.

Since then I have emailed...without any return response. After all, email responses would provide written proof of communication. I called and spoke with a fast talking operator that was still trying to talk me into keeping the product for a REDUCED amount of money. When I demanded a refund of all of my money, I was instructed to mail the box back to them with a specific code written on the box. I followed the operators instructions and mailed the box back to them. Of course they said that they never received the box. I never received the box back either. Since my address was on the box as the return address it should have been returned to me if it was undeliverable.

Since then I have been refunded for the box that I never received. But I have received yet another $99.00 plus charge from Cigarest. They owe me MONEY. Their reasoning is that since they have not received the package they have rightfully withdrawn 3 payments of $99.00 plus some from my account.

Their advertising is DECEPTIVE. They are pretending to be available to provide this good service for people. They are nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing. Taking advantage of smokers looking for another way to help them quit. They know that paying $200 to $300 for some gum, vitamins and sugar pellets ain't nothing but a scam. If they tell people up front that's what they are going to get for their money I wonder how many people would buy?

I know I wouldn't have. When you call them on the telephone they do make sure that they apologize for the "misunderstanding"... when you finally do get to talk to a human. That's nice isn't it? It's sort of like patting you on the back before they stab you in it.
