i would like to know what gives cigna the right to say who gets payed and who doesen't.here is my story:i am a 47 year old woman on may of 2007 i was at work and had a stroke was put off work i filled out all the forms they sent me 2 checks then stopped.
they said i should returned to work in 2 weeks even though my doctor said no way.my job at adena hospital was a nursing assistance/unit clerk.after the stroke i ending up on a tri cane because my left side is weak and my foot drags/i have very little grip with left hand/i can not remember things.i get confussed very easy.
i could no longer preform any of my job.the doctor wrote a report to cigna letting them know that i was total disable.at that time adena let me go yes they fired me because i could not return to my job the insurance company refused to pay.
the doctor sent me thru 32 weeks of therey did not improve.i have lost my house/truck and everything i owe i depended on this insurance to be there for me just in case something would happen i paid for this out of my own pocket.i consulted a lawyer if that is what you called him i had to pay out of my pocket $550.
to see his doctors in which the doctors said the same thing. the lawyer let cigna get by turning me down he did nothing to help.i fill that they should pay for what they done because of this i lost my home/truck had to make my son drop out of collage but no one wants to take on a insurance company because they say they have the 2nd biggest lawyer in the world i have proof of everything so what i am saying can be proved.if anyone has any suggestions or knows anyone that can help please let me know thanks for listening.
