My wife had been with Cincinnati Bell Wireless for 4 years or so. She had an unlimited plan thru her employer so a good deal. We decided to have her join my plan with Verizon. We went into Verizon and signed her up and they send notified Cincy Bell of the number change from them to Verizon.
Her monthly bill cycled on the first of each month and Cincy Bell gets notification on the 3rd of the September of the change. Instead of sending us a pro rated amound of a few dollars for September they say it doesnt' matter when you cancel be it one day or 29 days into a new cycle you pay the whole month. So we end up paying about $44 for two days of service even though we were alread with Verizon. The rep at the store said the cancelation is in the agreement when you sign up even though it was a no a contract cell service with them.
What a rip off!!!!

My family had a family unlimited plan for about a year and switched back to Sprint. The porting process was fine for 3 of the 4 phones. The fourth line was my daughter's and she wanted to have her own line with Sprint so we waited the same amount of time (3 days) in the original post. Unfortunately, this was 2 days inside of the Cincinnati Bell new billing period. Basically, we got caught by the same BS. We talked to 6 different people before the bill was due in billing, collections and customer service who all said the same thing and refused to be reasonable about this. Instead, they wanted the $286.34 for 2 days of service. I didn't want to go to collections so we paid it when it was due. They even refused to send me a bill stating "Final Bill" with the balance noted.
The bottom line is: Cincinnati Bell's customer service is pathetic and the management is of the lowest common denominator. Forget going to the store for help, they are absolutely worthless.
The $286.34 that they stole from me has cost them well over that in lost revenue and I am going to continue my campaign against thier company, products and services.
