Cindy Howard Movers And Associates Big Scam.... I shouldve known. New York, New York

So I received an e-mail one day from cindy howard. It was telling me about a job opprotunity. She said she would pay me $2500 a month to basically do nothing. All I would have to do is send money to a freight company to get item shipped to me in bulk, I would then take those items and have them shipped somewhere else. I thought it all sounded legit because she sent me the tax id number and that i would have to file a 1099 and so on. So I forgot about the e-mail for a couple of days. I received two packages from ups one morning. One was labeled for me and the other was labeled to my boyfriend. I opened them and in them was a check. Each check was made out for $2490. I was extremely skeptical. I began looking up the bank and the company that was on the check. Even the ups envelope said it was from the University of Montana.

So I got ahold of the bank that was on the check. Chase Manhattan Bank. I proceeded to tell the lady that I received these two checks and I just wanted to make sure they were real before I deposited them. She looked up the account number and told me that that account didnt exist. She then transfered me to the fraud department and they told me to rip up the checks and forget about them. So later that afternoon I was checking my e-mail and I had an e-mail from cindy howard telling me that I would receive two checks from ups today in the amount of $2490 each. She then proceeded to tell me that I was to deposit those checks. At first I sorta freaked out because I thought ooh no I just riped those two checks up, but then i remembered that the bank said those checks were not even real.

So I e-mailed cindy back and told her what had happened and I havent had an e-mail back since.. Cindy Howard and Associates is a SCAM and DO NOT fall for it like I almost did..
