Number one, Cingular has the worst customer service of all the wireless companies. They have a few lawsuits against them which are in motion. They did not update my minutes online when they claim they do every 24 hours. When I first started with them, I did not check, therefore, it was my fault that I went over 500 minutes costing me 40 cents/min. The following month was on them being they did not update my remaining minutes as claimed. They were not helpful at all.
I cancelled after three months and over $1,000. Cingular hung up on me mid-conversation when I asked to cancel the service. They asked, "Would you like to cancel immediately?" I replied, "Yes." Next thing you know, the call is over! No option to keep the same number, forward a new one, no thank or goodbye! My billing cycle ended on JULY 21, 2006. I received a bill statement which was printed on 07/21/06 stating that my bill was overdue!
The day I cancelled is the same day they sent out a bill claiming that I was OVERDUE???? Come on. There is much more but I am extremely unhappy with their treatment of me; a paying customer and the ridiculous time I had to spend arguing with them about various charges. I advise you to go elsewhere. And no company can send you a bill the day it is due stating you are overdue and threatning to send you to a collections dept.

I myself am a Cingular Represenative. The reson the call ended in mid converstion was because you were probably on the phone when you called. It is not policy to just cancel a line and i do apologize for this incovience. Howeve for your bill, If you are on a lower plan and you know you are, isnt it wise that you don't talk over that allotted time. There are several ways to check minutes. If you were unsure then calling 611 from your cell phone would have been helpful.
