I filled up at the CITGO gas station at W Lawrence Ave & N California Ave Chicago IL 60625, and purchased a deluxe car wash for an extra 10 dollars, when asked at the pump. My receipt is stamped 19:49, and the sign on the station advertises a car wash open until 8:00 p.m., but I was told the car wash was closed when I proceeded to the entrance of the car wash. I said there was still 11 minutes before closing time, plenty of time for a car wash, but I was denied service, and told to "come back tomorrow." I was then refused a refund, because "only the manager can do this."
At the CITGO Snappy Convenience Center, getting ripped off is a snap! Just hand over your hard earned cash in exchange for nothing, and CITGO will keep your money. In a different time, they had a name for this: HIGHWAY ROBBERY! Today, we'll simply call it is what it is, illegal.
