Citi fiancial preditory loan. Misled me into taking out a loan that I could not afford then started foreclosure. THey would not put my husbands name on the loan. our lawyer did a modification. They are not doing what was agreed upon. Now we aer going to loose the house. We are disabled. Charlotte Nationwide

In 2008 I went to Citifinancial  because of a flyer I got in the mail for a sall personal loan. My husband was unemployed and I worked part time.She said she could help me with a consolidated loan ,pay off my bills and just have one payment. She said my husand could not be on the loan because he was getting unemployment. He was also ill and could not advise me on this.  I did not realize the intrest rate was 12.14 %. A short time later I lost my job, my husbands unemployment ran out. I could not get another job. My husban has sarcoidosis. And he applyed for disability and got a lawyer. I lawyer said it was a preditory laon and the intrest rate was craxy. So we went for a loan modification. We frist agreed to 5 and 3 quarter. On the second meeting they denied saying that amount. They said everyone agreed to 6 %. We had no written proof of the 1st. meeting and our lawyer said to take the 6%. It was agreed upon that was owould pay the insurance and they would esgeow the land taxes. We have our copy with that box checked and we both signed the loan papers. Well now they say they don't do that And thay say they can't find certin loan papers. We have made every payment on time since the modification and payed the insurance since. Now  we are way behind on our land taxes and are facing forclosure for that. I have applyed for disability. And have over a year to wait for the judgement. So now 3 people live on just a little over 1550.00 a month. Now we have bad credit. No one will help give us a loan, not even Citifinance to pay the taxes or a new home loan. They won't even send me the papers I need to prove we have paid on time. Mt credit report says I am 13 payments behind on this loan I called then and they will not change (remove) it. Since the loan is only in my name it is not showing up on my husbands credit even though he is making the payment. We have sold anything of any value just to live and now we will may loose our home. We sure can not afford to rent a decent house in a decent area. We have both worked for over 30 years just to end up like this.
