My Story had credit with sears company over 30 years was a great company until CITI Banks buy them out take over their credit business never been the seam ever since. I paid my account off compete bill they mailed me Bal.own. 11,725.25 casher check i wrote on check pay off account close out my account they kept my check which means agressed with me paying off in full. Few days later they tried to tell me i owned them a lot more interest sent me a bill 157.00 i called them right away telling them i had no longer had account with CITI-Sears been closed month ago. Even asked if i was to pay this unfair charge 157.00 would they just leave me alone, the lady said no,I would get another bill the next month, maded me very mad, told them i wasn't paying them any more money because i didn't own them nothing at all. So now they have messed up my perfect credit record with a lie,now turning it over to a collection company. Anyone of our reader out there sujest any thing i could do. The Big Fish Banking Wal-mart might say thinks they can walk over all us middlet class people Just not Right, I think CITI would have been happyer if i had took bankrup law on them.

If your statement is dated November 1 for payment due November 20, with a balance of $11,725, that was your balance on November 1. Say they got your payment November 15. You will still owe for 15 days worth of interest (November 1 thru November 15) that will be billed to you on your next statement date, December 1. Even though you think you paid the card in full by paying the full amt shown on your statement, you really didn't.
