===Below is the original Report that was filed=== Citibank - PrimeAmerica - Citigroup ripoff, pyramid scheme, scam Denver Colorado I'm filling this just to let people know about this company and hope they don't make the mistake for working for them. Number one, they are a pyramid scheme company. They hire you pretty much no matter what which is incredibly scary for a company that is dealing with peoples Bank Account, Stocks, Insurance and more. If you go work for Scottrade, T-Rowe Price, Merrill Lynch, etc... When you become a broker you get some of the commission for your trades and the COMPANY gets the rest. With PrimeAmerica the person who hired you gets a percentage of the profits and the person who hired him gets a percentage and so on up the pyramid ladder. Second they charge you money to get your brokerage license! There is only a handful of companies who charge you to take the test and for them to train you. Every other RESPECTABLE company not only pays you when they train you but they pay for your exam as well! Third No Respectable Brokerage Firm (if you can even call them a brokerage) recruits people in masses. You have to go in and apply with a stunning resume and background to even be considered to be hired. It is generally pretty hard to even get sponsored. Generally most people have to do it with smaller firm or even bank, credit card companies. I hear Visa is one of the best to take sponsors. Fourth you will generally have to work for at least twice as long to be making the money with this company as you would with a normal Brokerage firm. As not only do you have to maintain clients but you have to recruit people under yourself. Here is another little tidbit from the Better Business Bureau. Government Actions In April 2003, the Securities and Exchange Commission, New York State Attorney General's Office, North American Securities Administrators Association, NASD and NYSE announced a global $1.4 billion settlement with several New York investment companies, including this firm, resolving allegations that conflicts of interest between the firms' investment banking and research divisions led to the dissemination of tainted investment advice. Under the terms of the settlement, the firms were assessed fines, penalties and restitution, and have agreed to enact significant reforms affecting the relations between these divisions within the firms. So not only do they cheat you but they cheat their clients too! Christopher Denver, Colorado
