Just recieved a notice of overdraft from Citiziens Bank.  I had more than enough money for the electronic debits.  But they show a 40.00 Overdraft  Wich they charge $156.00 doesn't make sense and I would hope I could get resolved at branch.

I then open another overdraft statement the showing that they then took all the debits (which there were enough funds for) and put another $39.00 overdraft fee on each plus the $156.00 from before. So in one day I went from $156.00 which was wrong to $300.00.

So I put those aside and was going through the rest of business mail and saw another envelope from these crooks.  They took every fee and all the debit of which cleared and added a $39.00 fee to them.  I went from having positive account to owing them $533.62 in fees.  When I called the bank the manager in Rhode Island said that's our policy and we can't do anything.  I asked about triple dipping into my account on puchases that cleared 2 days prior and she didn't care.

Obviously Small Business are making up for the buy outs

No doubt, these banks are CROOKS...

AUTHOR: Ronny g - (USA)

However, you should post more specifics when lodging a report like this. The title says they double charged..and the report states they triple charged, which is an inconsistency.

What is a fact..is that these banks are not dumb..quite the contrary. They managed to drag this country into a recession, and it could have been a depression if they had not been bailed out. Regardless of the nonsense reasons they may give..they made extremely risky investments with little fear since they knew the American taxpayers would bail them out. Wouldn't it be nice if we could invest knowing if we lost....we would be bailed out?

That aside..you are dealing with a heartless element which is right on par with the hardest of criminals. Via loopholes and political influence..they have been able to get away with the crimes, and some who defend these criminals will feebly attempt to turn this around to be the customers fault quoting "terms" and "policies" which may or may not be what you actually signed up for.

If you can post any specifics and evidence as to what the bank claims caused these overdrafts..we will be able to better advise what your next course of action should be.
