Circuit City Circuit Citys and City Advantage Insurance Rip-off Madison Heightsmadison Heights Michigan

Insurance was described and sold as replacement insurance for defective batteries and covrerage for laptop screens.

The Circuit City employees explain coverage as replacement plan but when contacting cityAdvantage they deny request based on fine print in policy that is completely different than explained to myself and my wife.

I called in for a battery replacement because the battery was not holding a charge longer than about 1 1/2 hours. Was told that according to CityAdvantage fine print this is not defective and will not be replaced.
After asking to speak with a supervisor at Advantage I was threatened with being reported for filing a false claim and that Advantage supervisor #4598 would make a report and further threatened any future claims would be noted and investigaged. As I explained how the insurance was described by the Circuit City employee, and that the HP product clearly was not up to the original manufactures specs (this being the battery) He stated that is not what Advantage Insurance covers and to read the terms and conditions as set forth in the policy that I received (After purchasing insurance). His demeaner was clearly to deny and ended up with his hanging up before the call was finished leaving me to wonder how and why this supervisor claimed I am now a criminal and that feeling like the police will be knocking down my door.

Consumers and Manufactures beware CITYADVANTAGE and CIRCUIT CITY partnership is a consumer rip-off. Because of a little ignorance on my part, A total mis-representation on Circuit City's employees part and a clearly denial and offensive attack against consumers by Advantage supervisors this is a serious waste of 300 dollars and for my part will not fall for again and certainly never purchase a Circuit City or CityAdvantage product again.
