Seems Im not the only one whos suffered from their dishonest receiving personnel. I sent my hp laptop into City Advantage with the following problems. monitor flickering(2nd time) cdrom drive doesnt always record correctly, And no volume on it anymore. Well i got a call last nite 8/7/05. That my computer had physical damage to it so they were not going to fix the problems that i sent it in for. They stated that a usb port was damaged and that the palm rest was cracked. I called city advantage and talked to Dave and he stated that due to the physical damage they were not honoring my extended warranty and were sending my laptop back unfixed. I stated to dave that i had just had the laptop in to the circuit city store in my area and it was not damaged in the order that he stated as the guys would have seen it and noted it and i never would have been able to send it in to be fixed. duh. well i then told dave it must have been damaged in shipping as i know it was not damaged when i put it in their box and packaged it as they had stated in the instructions for me to do.

Dave stated that there was not way it could be as the box showed no signs of damage. I then hung up and called UPS the carrier and they stated that it happens all the time that the contents of a package can be damaged and not show any outward damage to the box. So i then called dave back and told him what UPS said. he still argued that i had sent it in that way. Well i take very good care of my laptop as it has all of my photography business on it and its never abused or moved accept for when i have to send it in to city advantage for work. this is a business laptop and not a cheap one. why would i break it and then send it in to be fixed for other things. I then ask to speak to Daves supervisor to discuss Daves rudeness on the phone. Dave informed me that his supervisor was administrative and that he (Loyd) could do nothing for me that he knew nothing about what Dave did and that Lloyd was only there to see when dave comes to work and that he is working the hours he is suppose to be. I tried to call back to speak to Lloyd and I was informed that there was no way I could speak to him. And that he is not available to consumers. What ever happened to customer service. What happened to the customer is always right. If i had done the damage to the laptop in the first place I would not have sent it in for other repairs. I did not physically damage my laptop It was working(except for the problems i stated above) when i sent it in. So it seems to me somewhere it got damaged along the way and someone is trying to cover up their slippery fingers. or it was damaged in shipping. I did not damage my own property and jepardize my business by losing so much work time with my laptop being out of service.

I am an honest person and I expect others to treat me honestly. Especially a business this big. Is that too much to ask.
