Well, for starters from the very beginning of my experience was quite ridiculous! I came to this location simply for the specific used vehicle they had and I wanted. I was already qulaified through my credit union and basically closed the deal myself.

Nevertheless, further down the road when It was time for my first FREE Oil Change that comes with the purchase of one of their cars. I was advised my rotars need to be resurfaced, So, I have them do it. Mindlessly not thinking I should price in different areas I just said do it.....

I get a phone call from husband beggining me to tell him that I did NOT drop my car off.... I told him Yes, though concerned. He Said he called 10 other places that were a fraction of the their costs. Originally I was told it was going to cost $206.00 to have this done.

Later a female tells me she got me deal for $157.00 out the door. Later to only find out that Joe Blow down the street is doing it for $40.00 with Warranty's...

I call in as a fake customer to see how much they are going to charge and they start spouting out more numbers that dont add up. So I call in a speak with a rep aout how they come up with the number their going to charge me....No one can tell me a straight anwser... After Three different reps, the manager comes to the line. At first polite, but his voice was getting louder.

He could not even tell me what or why the price was what it was. ultimately ended up just making fun of competitors and telling my their not trustworthy. He is was not willing to do anything about this and ended up hanging up on me. I Plan on filing and complainy with Consumer Affairs and starting an investigation to avoid other customers getting ripped off as well.

Your Husband Was Right

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, May 15, 2016

Unless your car is covered under warranty and you need to get warranty work done there, don't ever, ever, EVER go to a dealer for service!  Forget the "free" oil changes.  They use those opportunities to try to sell customers grossly overpriced services.  Getting what they claim is a "free" oil change is NOT worth the stress and aggravation of putting yourself in a position of being CONNED.  When you have your servicing done by the dealer, you receive grossly over priced work, poor customer care and a low quality of work. Seek out and patronize an INDEPENDENT SHOP.

I don't mean Walmart, the quick oil change place or some guy who fixes cars "on the side".  An INDEPENDENT SHOP is a local shop, not part of ANY chain.  It is usually owned by an experienced mechanic and is staffed by experienced mechanics.  You will find fair prices, honesty and superior customer care.  In your town, there are a couple of LOCAL guys who do call-in radio programs who own INDEPENDENT SHOPS.  Just do a little bit of research and you'll find them.  Trust me, you are wasting your money when you go to a dealer for service.  For the sake of your financial position, don't ever...ever...ever...EVER go to any dealer for service!

You were not ripped off

AUTHOR: coast - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, May 15, 2016

Auto dealerships always charge more for service than an independent service location.

The transaction was not a rip-off unless the dealer charged you more than the approved estimate or if they failed to perform the service satisfactorily.

The repair cost is not the same for all vehicles so your ‘fake’ phone call is not a factor.

We do not have price controls in this country (you learned about American Free Enterprise in eight-grade civics) therefore you do not have a valid complaint concerning the cost of the repair. Your dissatisfaction with the cost of the repair is a case of buyer’s remorse.
