I want any who is thinking of doing business with city mitsubishi of orange park to really think twice and really look at your contract before signing. We went in as a final place to look at SUV's we were very impressed with the outlander. They said they could get us financed and they did so we thought . The vechile was a 2003 Outlander 4-door suv xls 2wd the sticker price was 23,170.00. And we told them that was to high but they instisted they where going to make this work.
Okay , we had a trade-in 2000 nissan frontier with a balance of 5432.00. the car had a rebate of 2000.00 dollars which would have made the price of the outlander 21,170.00. now we have the paper work. they wanted money down which we did not have, okay we signed I promise to buy withe no money down. which they agreed.
they really did not give a trade-in value which was crazy by the book we should have got at least 4000.00. okay they were going to pay off 5432 on nissan, but looking on the paper work they attached it to the price of the vechile. any way we relly did not pay attenetion to the paper work being so excited. we agreed to the terms and payments and signed. 2 weeks went by we called and asked to speak with todd reed to ask who was financing and he told us bank one.
we called back to make sure a week later and he said he was fianlizing the paper work. another week went buy and we noticed we kept getting denial letters. Now were wondering why we havent gotten our paper work so we can mail our payment so we called to speak to Todd and he is unavaible. Of course.... Then I get a phone call at work that Todd needs to see us. I'm pretty upset now. We go to the dealership and MR Todd is no where to be found. and the other finance manager says I'll take care of this.
We go to his office and he demands 3000.00 to make this deal work. I was in shock When we signed the contract on dec.27th I thought that was it. This guy was rude and said he wanted the suv back if we did not have the down payment. We had the vechile for a month. I could not beleive what was happening they brought our 2000 nissan back and took the plates off of our new vechile and put back on our old truck.
I had put a sun roof shade on the outlander it costs me 135.00 which I did not get back. They also Lost our keys to the Nissan and our matts where gone. This was a nightmare!!!! I have never been treated like this ever. And my point of all of this on the day we walked in there why lie and lead people on. we thought they were wonderful people we we first stepped in.
We had the outlander for a month. I never dreamed of any thing like this. SO I will tell all Please stay away from city mitsubishi of orange park what you think may have been a deal you too might end up like us!!!!!!

PROBLEMS AT THE CITY MITSUBISHI ON ATLANTIC TOO
AUTHOR: Baybeedee - (U.S.A.)

I went to this place to get a Honda Civic hybrid that was a pretty good price. I test drove it and fell in love with it instantly. I was told that it was never in a wreck, but I did a Carfax and it had been. Nothing really seemed to bad so I was still willing to go for it. I had a Neon with tranny probs that I was trading in. I was honest and upfront with them about it. I kept asking about the trade in value but they kept avoiding it. There was a couple of problems with the Civic that I told them would have to be fixed before I agreed to buy the car. They agreed so I drove all the way across town to drive back in that death trap of a car. We did all of the paperwork and they let me drive off the lot with the hybrid. I went back to check on the financing. I was told by Don that it was going great and that they were just "hammering out some details." I came back a few days later, and he asked by boyfriend if he could co-sign because that would get me a lower interest rate. When I had driven up there, I smelled something weird so I popped the hood and it turned out that a hose had come loose and there was coolant leaking. I told Dan, who sold me the car, and he said the next time I came back, they'd fix it. I got on the highway and about a mile down the road, the car started to overheat. I pulled off, called Dan, and he said he'd send a tow truck. They towed it off, and then tried to claim that I had put some huge hole in the radiator! I hadn't even been driving the car for a week! I told him I wouldn't pay for any damage and that the tow truck worker had put the car on backwards and that the car probably scraped the ground! They said they needed to see me. When I went in, Don finally told me that he couldn't get me financed, even after he led me to believe that everything was fine. They gave the Neon back to me. It was such an awful experience! I kept trying to get my down payment back from them. They told me they mailed it. Two weeks later, I never got anything. They kept jerking me around before they finally gave me a check a couple of months after everything. I hate City Mitsubishi. They are nothing but crooks and liars.

Same thing happend to me at Duval Ford

We had the same thing happen at Duval Ford. This was 6 years ago. A month after siging a lease for a new Explorer, we got called to come in and sign a new contract but the terms are the same.
Sure, the payments were the same but they extended from a 24 to a 42 month lease. I refused to sign and told them to bring me back my 95 Saturn that I traded. While we waited for hours at the dealership on a Friday night with our 2 small kids, the president of Duval Ford came down to try and work it out. He even went back to our original agreement but at this time we were done with them due to dishonesty.
Took 1 week to locate our Saturn which came back with a damaged side mirror, no floor mats, cigarette burns and smell inside and window tint peeling off... They fixed the Saturn.
The whole problem was due to this punk F&I kid named Scott. PUNK.
I hope you have better luck in the future, Dottie. Go see Jerry at Garber Chrysler/Dodge in Green Cove Springs.

I had worse problem with City Mitsubishi on Atlantic Blvd!

Read about the other City Mitubishi. They use much worse tactics and much more aggressive. Because of that place I'll avoid F&I offices with only one exit. They way to avoid this scam in the future to have financing before shopping for a car.
