 Ignorance of the law is NO EXCUSE!!!! Even if there are no signs posted. YOU are an American Citizen. YOU have the responsibility to know and understand the law WHERE YOU LIVE. That includes local parking laws. At the end of the day WHO is responsible for YOUR vehicle......YOU are. IF you received a ticket for parking in a spot you should not have, then its on YOU to learn WHAT the local laws are. Given that we are in the digital age, it would NOT have been ANY burden for YOU to take five mins and research YOUR local laws online. As for them NOT giving YOU a pass for being over by a min, guess what, its called LINEAR TIME!!! You cant go back and change the past you can ONLY move forward. So that being said, its YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure YOUR VEHICLE doesn't receive a ticket because YOU were parked too long. YOU lost track of time, YOU pay the ticket. Ignorance is NO EXCUSE!!!! Are YOU not an adult?? YOU had to pass a drivers test. Which means YOU had to read the drivers handbook. Which means YOU have the skill set needed to protect yourself. YOU DID NOT DO THIS!!!
