Cal Cars/City Super ShopCity Super Shop ripoff ripoff business from hell Carter Lake Iowa

I was buying my second car from Cal cars and was having some problems with it such as it was not starting so I talked with the manager at Cal Cars and they told me that they would have it towed to thier mechanic for free and have it looked at. I was scheduled for surgery that week so I said sure. They toed my car 2-7-03. They told me that they would get a hold of me when they knew what was wrong with it, WRONG!!

I had my surgery and the following day I had to call and ask about my car I got the runa round the mechsnic was not able to work on it because someone played a joke on him something about a fire!!!

Then I get a call a couple of days later aying that they got my car running so I have my brother drive me over there and they told me that I needed a complete tune up and that my car was flooded and that they did a diagnostic on it for like 3-4 hours but they were not going to charge me for that???(Mechanic doing work for free????)I don't think so. They also said that they poured a can of ether down it and that is how it started. Well I then asked me is the car going to shock me when I go to get in it? They sent out a mechanic and the d**n car wouldn't even start!!!!!

So while at the shop the push it back into the garage and 3 mechanics were back there and they come back saying that I needed new spark plugs. I had already given the money for the repairs thinking that my car was going to run. Needless to say my car got towed home on the 14th of Feb. with the same problem that it had when it went there. Come to find out I needed a whole new distributer pretty far from needing a tune up and oil change. And if they did do a diagnostic on it they would have known this. I will not ever recommended their shop or services to anyone.

Do not use this shop especially if you are a woman. The owner himself is a liar and doesn't know much about cars because my brother isn't even a certified mechanic and he figured out my problem in about 10 minutes. And the owner couln't give a explanation about this. He just kept beating around the bush. One of the excuses he gave us is his garage floors are heated and that's why my car was running inside of his shop!!!!!!!!!!!!! But once it was outside it would not start. Seems pretty wierd to me.
