I parked couple of weeks ago at a lot next to a shopping center and left for 5mn for a quick in and out trip. When I came back, I found my car booted. The parking company employee was parked next to my car waiting for me and claimed that I was parked in a reserved parking lot. I told him there was no sign stating this was a reserved spot. He claimed there was a sign at the parking entrance to IHOP which I didn't notice when I drove in as too small to read. I told him that I wasn't aware that the parking spot was part of the IHOP lot as it was opposite their location and a good 50 feet distance from the restaurant. He refused to take-away the boot unless I paid $75. I found this to be a rip-off given that:

- The employee was parked next to my car when I arrived and he could have warned me that this was a reserved spot.

- There was no sign next to the parking spot stating this was reserved space (nothing on the floor, no signage nearby except the one at the entrance).

- The spot I parked in was far from Ihop and could have been easily the shopping center parking lot (see pictures attached).

This company is a scam and shouldn't be allowed to operate the way they do. Their customer service reaction and the employee's behavior were unacceptable as they wouldn't listen or consider my complaint. Hence, I decided to post this in case other people lived through similar experience and would like to report it or file a class action lawsuit against them.
