I was so upset with Sprint so I switched to Cricket.My trouble started after purchasing our very first phones from cricket. On April 23,2008 at the coorporate store Outer Loop Road in Louisville I bought a Kyrocera and a Samsung r610 which I was charged $290.78 and $237.78 the Samsung was damaged 6/02/08 and I was told I had two choices take the phone to the cricket on Bardstown rd the only location with a repair tech in Louisville he wasn't there I left the phone there and was told call back @ 12 noon the following day when we spoke to the tech he said 3-4 days to get the part and would repair it as soon as part arrived. I called back to find out how much it would cost they were out to lunch! I recieved a voicemail 2 days later saying the phone was not repaired due to that model was recalled. I had to file through the insurance take the phone and claim after calling to get approved back to OuterLoop Rd.It has to be a coorperate store to get the replacement.When I got there they didn't have the replacement I was told they are no longer selling that model not recalled she told me they are so dumb for telling you that.I had three choices, send it to insurance wait for replacement in the mail, downgrade to a different phone, or drive to the Shively store on Dixie Highway in Louisville.All of this runaround has cost me TIME GAS and being without a phone for over 2 weeks.I don't understand why @ a Coorperate store I wasn't given the correct information saving me from hours of driving from store to store and alot of gas money and being without a phone. That was just one problem.!!!!

Problem 2 ,I took two phones that I had from sprint to the Connection a Cricket location @ 18 West Broadway.I was sent there because I was told @ Outer loop they are the only loction flahing phones I was charged $55.00 for each phone to be flashed the ripoff there was smooth he showed me a working phone after leaving and a day of trying to use the phones neither phone worked I called the store and customer service from another phone and was told you can't get a refund!

You won't believe how many customers I dealt with that "flashed" their phones from another cellular carrier such as Sprint or Verizon. While you CAN do it, it's NOT recommended? Why? Because Cricket is NOT LIABLE if your "flashed" phone doesn't work. Whomever told you to "go flash your phone for Cricket" was just trying to SCAM you. A Corporate-owned Cricket store will NEVER tell you to "flash" a phone for their service!!

You have been SCAMMED by the "authorized" dealer that flashed your phone. Do NOT blame Cricket for that!!

As for your phone being "recalled", you should have contacted the MANUFACTURER of the phone so THEY could replace it for you for FREE. NEVER go back to the cellular phone company where you got the phone as they do NOT manufacture the phones...they only SELL them!!
