We purchased a bedroom set from Ashley Furniture in Oct 2008 and were promised $500 in rebates from Tidewater Marketing Group in Clearwater, FL. I had started sending in gas receipts totaling $100 from the same gas station for a few months. I found out that Tidewater Marketing was shut down by the Florida State Attorney General and later received an apology letter from a new company Claimyourgas.com that they would give us the rebates, but we'd have to start over. In fact, we were promised a free 4 night vacation as well. When that didn't work out, we were told we could send in grocery receipts in the same way. I have been doing this for MONTHS and wondered why I wasn't getting anything back (they also tell you it takes time to process) found out this company filed Chapter 11!
