Good afternoon - I'm hoping that your will be able to help us. Situation:- We contracted "Classic Gates by Design", 7167-c Bryhawke Cir, North Charleston SC 29448 through proposal #84141342 - August 8, 2006 to manufacture several residential gates for us. When completed, they were to be shipped to us here in Bermuda.
We agreed on a price of $7,790.00. $4,120.00 was sent August 8, 2006 and a second payment of $2,060.00 was sent November 6, 2006 for a total of $6,180.00 in advance for their production. Payment was sent via wire transfer to:- Classic Gate By Design Inc., Acct# 5126358433, BB&T, St. James Ave, Goose Creek SC 29445, as per their instructions.
Production time was set by them to be 6-8 weeks from time of deposit being received. It is now 9 MONTHS later and no gates or communication from Classic Gates.
The person we have been dealing with is Mr. Mitch Allen. He made promise after promise to deliver, but still has not delivered or proven by digital photograph there existence, as promised.
We have been trying to get this resolved through the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in that area, specifically with a Ms. Regina Diaz since December 2006 with our first complaint. It turns out that after patiently waiting all these months for a positive result, have now discovered that the BBB has absolutely no ability to resolve our problem.
We have all correspondences via email that have been sent and received between us, Classic Gates and the BBB, plus a response by Classic Gate to the BBB saying that the gates are complete and will ship the week of December 25, 2006. We have our copies of payments made to this company.
Mr. Allen has again promised to send gates by accessories when he is back in the office on April 13, 2007 - BUT OF COURSE we have not received any word or pictures of our gates.
DON'T GET RIPPED OFF BY these guys!
